NE Senior Tournament Schedule (2008) National Senior Tournament Schedule

National Senior Tournaments National senior tournaments are offered in two categories; Category I and Category II. Category I tournaments number only four, similar to Grand Slam tournaments for the pros except that each one is on a different surface. There is one each Category I tournament on clay, grass, outdoor hard court, and indoor hard court. Category I tournaments have the most weight in determining national rankings. Category II tournaments do not have a fixed number and may be on any surface and can be held outdoors or indoors. Most are offered in the sun belt although NESTF and the USTA/NE Player's Committee are investigating the possibility of hosting a Category II senior tournament in New England (there are currently none). Many New England senior players participate in national senior tournaments. The 2008 national senior tournament schedule for both Category I and Category II tournaments is provided here.
